DEDICATED TO BRANDON,DIXIE, AND CHANDLER!! Love Mommy

Teddy Bear, soft squishy guy
Pleasant picture--tear to my eye.
Tools in the basement, kids stop by
Sharing knowledge, sweet by and by.

Sewing her clothes, sharpens the seam
Sweet face, eyes--misty green,
Lovely lady, cuddles him warm
Little red box, love letters of war.

Stories from Grand dad, bounce on knee
Chocolate face, both him and me,
Walking the breakwater--waves over wall
Running fast, wet clothes in the hall.

Fresh jam for bread, peas from pod
Nature filled apron, treasures from God,
Oh Grandma--doily so nice
Love on the table, void of price.

Piano, Violin, music so bold
Family traits--our elders of old,
Frozen in time, prairie peace
Memories guarded--heavens valise.

Chandler, We love you! There are so many people
thinking nice thoughts about you
and wishing you a quick, easy recovery
and I'm one of them!

  NEVER ALONE-EEYORE'S LULLABY

Lay your head down to bed
Let your slumber sleep your cares away
In your dreams chase moonbeams
All the way across the milky way
And as you rest in the nest that we've made for you
We'll caress and keep you blessed
Never alone for the whole night through
Go to sleep
Dont you weep
Tomorow's gonna be tomorow's gonna be
Tomorow's gonna be a brand new day
And as you rest in the nest that we've made for you
We'lll caress and keep you blessed
Never alone for the whole night through
Go to sleep
Dont you weep
Tomorrow's gonna be tomorrow's gonna be
Tomorrow's gonna be a brand new day

My son, my son.
Stir not fitfully in your sleep.
Dream gently, sleep soundly.
Rest, rest.

I'll just stand here a little while
and watch
the soft rise and fall of your chest
and listen,
listen to the gentle whisper of your breath.

I've done this a thousand nights.
No, more.
Stepped quietly through your doorway
to reassure myself
that you were still there.
My precious, precious son.

Still with me
while your dreams took you
on adventures
and a fine sheen of perspiration
swept across your face.

Too soon you are going from me.
Tomorrow comes,
marching in,
swaggering triumphantly on my thoughts.
You go away tomorrow.

The day I've dreaded comes,
too soon, too soon,
and I, I am sick at heart.

I will give you my blessing.
Grow tall inside.
Love life and light and music.
Remember to laugh, have courage to cry.
Lift up others.
Run and dance and play.
Take pride in all you do.
Remember your roots.
Listen to your heart.
Embrace life.
Hug and kiss and comfort.
Keep the eyes of your heart
and the eyes of your spirit open.
Talk to God
and listen.
Walk with God,
justly, humbly,
in gratitude and appreciation.
Take what you need
and give off the top.
Share your heart.
Be worthy of respect.
Smell the flowers
and touch the earth along your way.

Someday you'll be a man, my son.
